For connection to rear speakers.
Load impedance
\f either the "A" or the "B" speaker systems are used:
Set the speaker impedance selector corresponding to the speaker
systems being used.
4-6 Q: For speaker impedance of 4~6 Q.
8~16 Q: For speaker impedance of 8~16 Q.
Connection of speaker cables
For "A", "B" and "CENTER" terminals
@® Twist the core of the speaker wires.
(19/32")
@® Turn counterclockwise 5 or 6 times to reveal
hole in terminal shaft.
[| we
@ Insert the wire and tighten screw completely.
Pull the wire to assure a proper connection.
Be sure to only connect positive (+) wires to positive (+) ter-
minals, and negative (—) wires to negative (—) terminals.
Notes:
To prevent damage to circuitry, never short-circuit positive (+)
and negative (—) speaker wires.
tf both "A" and "B" speaker systems are used:
1) If the impedance
of both systems
is 16 Q, set the speaker
impedance selector to "16.9".
2) If the impedance of both systems is 8 Q, or one is 8 Q and the
other is 16 Q, set the speaker impedance selector to "8".
3) If the impedance of both systems is 4 9, both speakers can not
be used at the same time.
Note:
The load impedance of center and rear speakers must be
8~16 OQ.
For "REAR" terminals
@ Twist the core of the speaker wires.
(19/32")
@ Open the lever, and insert the core until it can no longer be
seen.
Lever
N
@® Close the lever, and pull the wire to assure a proper connection.
Be sure to only connect positive (+) wires to positive (+) ter-
minals, and negative (—) wires to negative (—) terminals.
Notes:
To prevent damage to circuitry, never short-circuit positive (+)
and negative (—) speaker wires.
