    1. Before you use Safety precautions ● P lease read the precautions written here carefully to operate the unit properly. You are required to observe these fully because every item of these instructions is important for safety. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious consequences WARNING such as death, severe injury, etc.

If you touch internal parts accidentally, you could get electric shocks or cause trouble. Consult your dealer when it is necessary to inspect its interior. Do not wash the R/C with water or liquid.

    Advice If the air conditioner is a multi-type building air conditioning system, cooling/heating functions cannot be mixed for each of the connected IUs in certain cases. In that case, the “In the fan operation” icon : is displayed on the “Operation status” screen (☞page 36). If you set from the app, the cooling or heating icon is displayed next to the auto operation mode icon in auto operation mode.

    Timer You can set ON/OFF timer. Operation of each timer ■ • Set ON timer by hour ( ☞ page 17) When the set time elapses, the air conditioner starts. Operating conditions at the start of operation can be set in case you set from the app. Operation takes place once at each setting.

  • Page 21 (1) Upper/lower fl ap When even one IU with a upper/lower fl ap is connected, you can change upper/lower fl ap. Perform the following operation. ⇒ Menu ⇒ ⇒ Operation settings Upper/lower fl ap The “Upper/lower fl ap” screen is displayed. Tap the keys to select the desired fl ap direction and tap key to decide. To swing the fl ap, select "Swing." When FDK with a left/right fl ap is connected, you can select “3D auto”.
  • Page 22 Advice If the humidity around the IU is high, the flap position may differ from the set position in order to prevent condensation forming on the IU. In that case, the “During condensation prevention control” icon: is displayed on the “Operation status” screen (☞page 36). When the humidity drops, the flap returns to its original position. Note • Do not manually move the flaps or panel with anti draft by force. It could damage these flaps and panels. • Do not blow air downward for a long period of time during the cooling operation. Condensation may be generated and water may drip from the side panel.
  • Page 23 W hen multiple IUs are connected to the R/C for a mixed environment consisting of FDKs with a left/right flap and ■ IUs without a left/right flap, enabling the 3D auto flow operation will set the models without a left/right flap to a flap position set before the 3D auto flow operation was started. C hanging the left/right flap direction and 3D auto flow operation cannot be performed from the SC-SL2, SC-SL3, or ■ SC-SL4. Also note that 3D auto flow operation will not be disabled when you change the flap direction from the SC-SL2, SC-SL3, or SC-SL4 during 3D auto flow operation. Note • Do not manually move the flaps by force. It could damage these flaps and panels. • F or FDKs with a left/right flap, it is recommended that the flap should be set toward the right side when there is a wall on the left, or set toward the left side when there is a wall on the right. For more information, refer to the Individual flap control section in the app manual. (3) Flap direction (for FDF) In the case of all FDFs, you can change flap direction. Perform the following operation. ⇒ Menu ⇒ ⇒ Operation settings Flap direction The “Flap direction” screen is displayed. Tap the keys to select the desired flap direction and tap key to decide.
