It is possible
to change
the
subtitle
lan-
guage to a different
language
from the one
selected
at the initial settings.
(If available.
See page 52.)
(This
operation
works
only
with
discs
on
which
multiple
subtitle
languages
are
recorded.)
Press
SUBTITLE
during
play.
(Number
of
the
subtitle
language
being played
back is displayed.)
oWhen
no subtitles
are recorded,
"-- --" will be displayed
instead of
the language number.
Press
the
cursor
buttons
(A,
Y)
until the preferred
language is selected.
• Press SUBTITLE
or SELECT
to
clear the display.

• Switching
vocals
ON or OFF
for Karaoke
discs
Press AUDIO during play of Karaoke
discs.
oPress AUDIO or SELECT to clear the
display.
oThis operation
does
not work with
CDs.
oDVD Karaoke (Solo)
"---" (OFF) or "ON" of vocals can be
selected
by pressing
the cursor but-
tons (4, I_).
eDVD Karaoke (Duet)
"---" (OFF), "1+2" (ON), "VI" (ON) or
"V2" (ON) of vocals can be selected
by pressing
the cursor buttons
(4,
I_).
oVideo CD
"LR', "L" or "R" can be selected by
pressing the cursor buttons (A, V).
• To clear/display
the
subtitles
Press the cursor
buttons
(4,
I_) to se-
lect ON or OFF at step 2.
Note:
oWhen
a disc supporting
the closed
cap-
tion is played,
the subtitle
and the closed
caption
may
overlap
each
other
on the
screen.
In this case, turn the subtitle
off.
For your reference:
oWhen
the power
is turned on, or the disc
is removed,
subtitles
appear
in the lan-
guage
selected
at the initial settings.
If
this language
is not recorded
on the disc,
they
appear
in the
disc's
priority
lan-
guage.
