DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURES

Note: Refer to Figures 2 through 5 for the
following procedures
1. Top Cover Removal
1.1 Remove the eight screws that secure the
top cover to the chassis. Lift off the top
cover.
2. SMPS / Amp PCB Removal
2.1 Perform procedure 1.
2.2 Unplug the wiring harnesses at the
various connectors on the board.
2.3 Remove the seven screws that secure
the SMPS / Amp PCB assembly to the
chassis. Lift out the PCB.
3. Audio Transformer Removal
(Hi-Z units only)
3.1 Peform procedure 1.
3.2 Unplug the transformer wiring harnesses
from the SMPS / Amp PCB assembly.
3.3 Remove the nut, spring washer and flat
washer from the top of the transformer. Lift
out the transformer.
4. Rear Panel I/O PCB and DSP PCB
Removal (Master units only)
4.1 Perform procedure 1.
4.2 Make a note of the wiring configuration,
and unplug the wiring harnesses from the
DSP PCB assembly.
4.3 Remove the six screws that secure the
rear panel and DSP PCB assemblies to the
rear of the chassis. Lift out the rear panel I/O
and DSP PCB assemblies.
4.4 If needed, unplug the DSP PCB from the
rear panel PCB by sliding them apart. They
are connected to each other by slide-in
connectors. Take care to not damage the
plastic spacers between boards.
5. Output PCB Assembly Removal
(Hi-Z units only)
5.1 Perform procedure 1.
5.2 Disconnect the output PCB wiring har-
ness.
5.3 Remove the two screws that secure the
output PCB assembly to the rear of the
chassis. Lift out the PCB assembly.
6. 3.5mm Jack PCB Assembly Removal
(Master units only)
6.1 On the front panel, pull off the VR knob,
and remove the nut and the plain washer.
6.2 Perform procedure 1.
6.3 Unplug the wiring harness.
6.4 Remove the four screws that secure the
PCB assembly to the front panel. Lift out the
PCB assembly.
7. LED PCB Assembly Removal
7.1 Perform procedure 1.
7.2 Disconnect the wiring harness from the
LED PCB assembly.
7.3 Remove the one screw that secures the
PCB assembly to the front panel. Lift out the
PCB. Take care to not lose the two light
pipes that are located on the front of the
board.
