Rear panel
@ © (power) switch
Press to turn the TV on. Press again to turn it off. When this switch
is turned
off, you cannot
turn the power on with the supplied
Remote Commander.
@ ( (standby) indicator
Lights up when the TV is turned off with the Remote Commander.
When any of the buttons on the Remote Commander
is pressed,
this indicator blinks.
© PROGR (program) buttons
Press either + or — to select a preset program from positions 1
through 30. The selected program number will appear on the pro-
gram
indicator. Note that program 30 is "0" on the program
in-
dicator. Press + for higher-numbered
programs, and — for lower-
numbered programs. Programs will be changed continuously in se-
quence. If there is annoying noise at an unused program position,
eliminate it by pressing the RESET button.
@ 2 (volume) buttons
Press either + or — to regulate the volume.
@ Zweiton/STEREO indicators
@ SPACE SOUND indicator
When a dual-sound program is received while the MONO(A)/ST(A/B)
button is pressed, A or B will light up. When a stereo program is
received while the MONO(A)/ST(A/B) button is pressed, A and B in-
dicators will light up.
@ ©} (headphones) jack (stereo phone jack)
Connect headphones here. Speaker sound will be disconnected. If
your headphones' plug does not fit the jack, use an optional plug
adaptor.
@ TV/VIDEO select button
When playing back a video tape recorder without a 6-pin DIN con-
nector, press this button so that "Af/!" lights in the program in-
dicator. When
playing back a recorder equipped with a 6-pin DIN
connector, the video mode is automatically selected.

OQ AFT (automatic fine tuning) ON button and indicator
The AFT circuit activates automaticaily after the stations are tuned
and memorized in automatic and manual programing.
The indicator will illuminate. In case you want to restore the AFT on
the channel which has been fine-tuned manually with the FINE but-
tons, press the AFT ON button.
@ FINE (fine tuning) buttons
Keep either + or —- depressed to get a clear picture for each un-
satisfactory
channel.
The automatic
fine-tuning
circuit will be
automatically
deactivated
on the channel
fine-tuned
with these
buttons.
@ ZWEITON A/B button
When the MONO(A)/ST(A/B)
button is depressed, dual-sound
pro-
grams can be received. Select the language to be listened to — Aor
B — by pressing the ZWEITON
A/B button.
® o MONO(A)/= ST(A/B) (stereo) button
Normally set this button
to the depressed
m
ST(A/B) position.
Stereo programs and dual-sound programs can be received.
When
this button is not depressed,
& MONO(A)
position, stereo
programs will be monaural and only channel A of a dual-sound pro-
gram will be received.
® SPACE SOUND button
Press to get special acoustic effects (for example, more presence).
The SPACE SOUND indicator will illuminate. To disengage, press it
again.
