Keep a VTR away from the TV, if the display or sound is affected.
Operation
Preset one of the program positions of the TV to the output signal
of the recorder as follows.

Turn on the TV and recorder.

Be sure that the TV is in the TV mode.

Set the TEST
SIGNAL
switch
to ON
if equipped
with your
recorder, or apply the output signal of the recorder to the TV by
ting the recorder into the playback mode.

Select the program position to be set for the recorder with the
PROGR buttons.

Press either of the SEARCH buttons. When the recorder output
signal
is found
and
memorized,
the playback
picture of the
recorder will appear on the screen.
For operation of the recorder, refer to the instruction manual of the
recorder.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
The Sony RM-635
Remote Commander
operates on two supplied
IEC designation R03 batteries (size AAA).

Remove the battery compartment lid.

Insert batteries observing the correct polarity and
close the lid.

NOTES ON THE REMOTE COMMANDER
@ In normal use, battery life is up to half a year. When the batteries
are exhausted, the Commander will not operate the TV properly. If
this happens, replace both batteries with new ones.
@ When
the Commander
is not used for a long period of time,
remove
the
batteries to
avoid
damage
from
possible
battery
leakage.
@ Keep the Commander away from extremely hot or humid places.
@ Avoid dropping any foreign object into the cabinet, particularly
when replacing batteries.
FUNCTION
OF THE
BUTTONS
ON
THE
REMOTE
COMMANDER
Each button has different functions for normal TV, teletext and VTR
operations.
Functions for operating the TV are indicated in black or white.
Functions for operating the video tape recorder*
are indicated in
brown.

Functions for teletext operation are indicated in green.
* This Remote Commander can control the Sony SL-F1E combined
with the TT-F1 series tuner timer unit, and Sony SL-C9 series.
