New Features and Changes
Line Signal Detect (LSD) Control is among the DTE
Interface Configuration Options, and determines the
usage and meaning of the LSD signal. The
&C6 command (BridgeRetrain) is new.
&C0
Forced on. The LSD signal is always on.
&C1
Standard RS232. LSD is on only while the
remote modem's carrier signal is detected.
&C2
Wink When Disconnect. LSD is normally
forced on; upon disconnecting, it is turned off
for approximately one second.
&C3
Follows DTR. The state of the LSD signal
matches that of the DTR signal.
&C4
Simulated Control Carrier. LSD follows the
state of the remote modem's RTS, via V.13
simulated control carrier signaling. The
remote modem's RTS Action configuration
option must be set to Simulated Control
Carrier.
&C5
DTR/Disconnect Off. The state of the LSD
signal follows DTR, except upon disconnect,
when it is turned off. DTR must then be
turned off and on to turn LSD on again. The
DTR Action configuration option must be set
to Stndrd_RS232 (&D1 or &D2).
&C6
Bridge Retrain. LSD behaves as if it were set
for Standard RS232, except that it is turned
off when a retrain condition lasts longer than
10 seconds, and turned on again when no
retrain condition is detected for a period of
10 seconds.
