B. When focusing subjects which are not in the center of the viewfinder, please follow the steps
below.

The desired composition

Point the camera at the subject
and focus by pressing the focus
selector up to the ONE-SHOT AF
position. Then release the focus
selector.

Recompose
the
scene
as
desired.
(Focus will
remain
fixed.)
^ Using the Zoom Mechanism
To zoom, press the power zoom switch. Push T'
to zoom in for telephoto framing. Push "W" to
zoom out for wide-angle framing.
• To zoom manually, use the zooming lever.
When the recorder's power VTR switch is first
turned on and the camera's standby/operate
switch is set to NORM or UP, the zoom speed is
automatically set to low, and "ZOOM L" appears in
the viewfinder.
To set the zoom speed to high, press the power
zoom speed button; the viewfinder display will
switch to "ZOOM H."
• The selected zoom speed is retained during the
standby mode.
