OPTIONAL BASE PURGE OPERATION

a) Dynamic Mixer
Following the end of the dispensing cycle, it is necessary to BASE
PURGE the mixer to prevent curing of any mixed material in the mixer.

Installation and Operation of Model 8900 VR
With the mixer motor ON and one of the cartridge fill outlets open,
situate a waste container under the cartridge fill outlet.
Place the Meter Outlet Ball Valves in the Closed position to prevent
metered material from entering the mixer.
Open the Base Purge Valve. Allow unit to flow until base material
is clearly visible from the cartridge fill outlet.
material appears, close that cartridge fill outlet and open the other
cartridge fill outlet. Continue to allow mixed material to flow until
material flowing is only base material.
Mixer has now been Base Purged.
Close Base Purge Valve
Shut down dynamic mixer by closing ball valve at dynamic mixer
inlet. Shut down air power to unit by pushing in on black knob on
main air control.
