Press RUN to begin the measurement sweep
.
The LED in the switch will light and
the pen will indicate the selected measurement parameter and level before perform-
ing the sweep
.
When the sweep is completed, the RUN LED extinguishes, the RE-
TURN LED lights, and then the pen is returned to its stand-by position
.
The measurement may be halted temporarily at any time by pressing STOP. Pressing
RUN continues the sweep
.
Pressing RETURN at any time ends the sweep and returns
the pen to its stand-by position
.
When operating in INTERMOD mode, the 2nd, higher
frequency generator, can be stopped temporarily by pressing G2 STOP, preferably after
stopping the frequency sweep by first pressing STOP
.
This enables the operator to check
that it is indeed an intermodulation product which is being measured and not circuit
noise
.
The indicated level should drop by at least 10 dB to ensure valid measurements
.
