COMPRESSION
:
Slider switch to select the automatic level compensation ("In")

When
"Out" is selected
,
a constant output voltage is obtained. (0,25 V ±2 dB
nominal at an SPL setting of 90 dB). When using the instrument as an
analyzer without employing the digital memory to store a correction
curve, this switch must be in the "Out" position.

Note: During READ IN, this switch must be in the "in" position to be
able to record a correction curve.

is stored until the switch is released again.

For selecting correct mains voltage setting, see section 3.2.
MAINS INPUT:
For connection of the mains supply. Before connecting a supply, the
voltage setting and fuse checks should be carried out as in section
3.2

WARNING: The 211 6 is designed to be operated with its signal ground lines and chas-
sis always at earth potential. Never let the signal ground terminals, socket screens or
chassis float at any other potential, as this will impair the operating safety of the 211 6
and may damage the instrument.
