Assembly (Fig. B, C)

m WARNING! Electric shock
Unplug the mains plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the machine!
Assembling the device
1.
Push the centre piece (7) onto the motor head (10).
2.
Push the handle section (5) onto the centre sec-
tion (7).
3.
Screw the centre piece (7) tight with the four Phil-
lips screws (6).
Fitting the protective cover and guide roller
1.
Slide the protective cover (8) onto the rail on the
motor head (10) until it clicks into place.
2.
Insert the guide roller (11) into the holder on the
motor head (10).
Inserting/changing the brush
To insert the brush:
1.
Pull back the locking sleeve (14) and insert the de-
sired brush (9/13).
2.
Release the locking sleeve (14) to lock the brush
(9/13) in place.
To remove the brush:
1.
Pull back the locking sleeve (14) and remove the
brush (9/13).

Commissioning

m Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled before
commissioning!
Switching on and off (Fig. A)
1.
Connect the mains cable (4) with a suitable exten-
sion cable.
2.
Form a loop from the extension cable and hook it
into the strain relief (3).
3.
Connect the extension cable to the mains connec-
tion.
4.
To switch on, press the on/off switch (2).
5.
To switch it off, simply release the on/off switch (2).
m Attention! After switching off the device, the
brush continues to rotate for a few seconds. Keep
hands and feet away.
m Attention! The on/off switch (2) must not be
locked.

10. Working instructions (Fig. 1)

m Attention! Risk of injury
• Check the brush (9/13) before using it. Do not use
damaged brushes (9/13). Replace a damaged or
worn brush.
• Only use original brushes.
• Do not work in the rain or on wet surfaces. There is
a danger of electric shock.
• Always work across the slope on slopes.
• Avoid contact with solid obstacles (stones, walls,
picket fences, etc.) to prevent damage to the device.
• Switch off the device during work breaks and for
transport and wait until the brush (9/13) has come
to a standstill.
Working with the device:
When working with the metal and nylon brushes (9/13),
never sand over plastic or other sensitive floor materi-
als. Otherwise it could scratch or damage the surface.
• Guide the device at walking pace.
• The arrow on the protective cover (8) indicates the
direction of rotation of the brush (9/13).
• Test the device in an inconspicuous place before us-
ing it on sensitive floors.
Selecting the right brush:
Abrasive nylon brush (9):
For removing weeds, lichens and moss from small,
narrow joints.
Wire brush (13):
For removing stubborn lichen and moss on insensitive
substrates. Only use the wire brush on a non-sensi-
tive substrate (road, pavement), as it could damage or
scratch the floor covering.

11. Transport

Always switch off the power tool before transport and
disconnect it from the power supply.
To transport the power tool, lift it by the centre struts.
Protect the electrical tool from impacts, shocks and se-
vere vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
Secure the power tool against toppling and slipping.
