Electric Switch Continuity Test
9. Touch the leads to terminals 1 and 2.
10. When the electric switch is turned On and the gas
switch is turned Off, you should have continuity
across the two terminals.
If there is no continuity, then the electric switch is faulty.

Replacing the Mixing Valve
1. Perform the steps in "Shutting Down the Water
Heater" on page 32.
2. Let the water in the Water Heater cool or let the
water run until it is cool.
3. Turn off the main water supply (the pump or water
hook up source).

4. Unscrew and remove the external drain plug to drain
the water out of the Water Heater.
5. Unscrew and remove the mixing valve hose from the
incoming water line connection.
6. Unscrew and remove the hot-water hose from the
mixing valve.
7. Unscrew and remove the mixing valve from the hot-
water outlet on the tank.
8. Reverse steps 1–7 to install the new mixing valve.

Bypassing the Pressure Switch
Only bypass the pressure switch for testing.

1. Place the control switch in the Off position.
2. Pull the two brown wires off of the pressure switch.
3. Place a jumper wire between the two brown wires.
4. Place the control switch in the On position.
5. Turn the hot water On at a faucet in the RV.
The Water Heater should attempt to ignite. If it
only attempts to ignite when the pressure switch is
bypassed, then the pressure switch is faulty or the
hoses could be blocked.
