About this task
CAUTION:
Removing the battery resets the BIOS setup settings to default. It is recommended that you note the
BIOS setup settings before removing the battery.
The following image indicates the location of the power-adapter port and provides a visual representation of the removal
procedure.

Steps
1. Remove the two screws (M2.5x4) that secure the right hinge to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Rotate to open the right hinge.
3. Peel the tape that secures the power-adapter cable to the system board and disconnect the power-adapter cable from the
connector (DC IN1) on the system board.
4. Lift the power-adapter port off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
