Driver Settings
Changing the data format used by the driver affects print speed in different operating
systems:
Macintosh: the driver defaults to binary data. This is recommended.
Windows 95/Windows 98: Under the Set Up tab, click Expert Options, then click
PostScript. Check Printer Properties. Put a check in the Use Automatic Data
Format box. This selects the correct data format for the connection method.
Windows NT 4.x: In Printer Properties, click the Device Settings tab. Locate the
Output Protocol and type Binary for network connections. If connected via
parallel, change from ASCII to BCP.
Windows 2000: Under the Tektronix Features tab, which is available from the
File Print Dialog or Print Manager Printer Properties, check Printer Properties.
