If the compensation tank is installed outside, a suitable sy-
stem must be provided to protect it against the sun's rays
and ultraviolet radiation, to prevent damaging the contai-
ner.
The compensation tank must be closed so that the electrical
devices on it are not accessible to the user without a key or tools.
Preparing the plumbing connections
The pipework (including connectors, sluice valves, etc.
b-c) for connecting the hot tub to the spa-pack must be laid by
the installer.
The plumbing pipes are indicated in
positioned so as to avoid creating any siphons.
If the main spa-pack uses a heat exchanger to heat the wa-
ter, the primary circuit also needs to be connected to the sys-
tem providing the hot water, and the electrical box needs to be
connected to the devices (solenoid valve, electric pump) that will
control the hot water recirculation in the primary circuit in the
exchanger.
The customer must make provisions for a ground drainage
point (
2a-b-c) of a suitable size, which can be inspected to
identify any cleaning that may be required. The drains must be
connected to it.
P
CAUTION: Before preparing the drainage point, con-
tact your local authority for information on the regu-
lations for draining chemically treated water.
Notes for models with a built-in balance tank
- (
2a, part 15) Make provisions for connecting the balance
tank drain.
NOTE: the factory installed pipe is fitted with a connector, which
the drainage system in the building can be connected to (part 15).
Alternatively, the balance tank can be connected directly to the
drain (remove the factory installed pipe) and the connector sup-
plied (or a valve) can be used to drain the water as necessary.
Q
CAUTION: the overflow drain on the compensation
tanks (3) must always be left open.
P
CAUTION: the two drain lines (parts 3 and 13) can be
connected together but NOT BEFORE the respective
sluice valves, otherwise the entire system may not
function.
Spa-pak booster kit: in the instance where a spa-pak "booster
kit" is also installed (Bk,
main spa-pak and to the drainage system; please also refer to the
relative documentation.

IMPORTANT: The solenoid valve (
the compensation tank (required for automatic water
level filling) must be permanently connected to the wa-
ter supply via a rigid pipe system.
In particularly cold areas, to avoid the risk of any remaining
water freezing (i.e. any water that may remain in the pipes after
the system has been drained), install valves to fully drain the pipes
(
2a-b-c, det. 11).
To fill the hot tub, you can use a standard garden hose or con-
nect up to your domestic water supply system.

P
Any connections to the drinking water supply network
(other than those suggested) must be made in compli-
ance with standard EN1717, adopting anti-pollution
protective met hods "AA", "AB" or "AD". For further
information, we recommend you contact your water
supply company and/or your plumber.
P
CAUTION: (IEC 60335-1) The pressure of the hydraulic
system feeding the equipment must not exceed 600
kPa (6 bar); if the equipment has one or more solenoid
valves for the water supply, the pressure must be mini-
mum 35 kPa (0.35 bar).

Preparing the electrical connections

A duct must be prepared for connecting the electrics of the
spa to the spa-pack; this includes a:
- control button cable (
phase version only).
- spotlight cable (
- level sensor cable (
(three-phase version: 6x1 mm
- solenoid valve cable for filling the compensation tanks (
b-c, part. 12) 2x1 mm
Spa-pack booster kit: if you are also installing a spa-pack
booster kit, a separate power supply line is needed (
part. Bk), and the kit must be connected to the main spa-pack (
7); please see the relevant documentation.
The electrical connections (

The installer must use cables with a suitable cross-section (see the
minimum cross-section table) protected with a Ø 32 mm sheath
at the end and/or tubes or pipes along the section connecting
to the main switch, not below type H 05 VV-F (multipolar) or H07
V-K (unipolar).
