Do not al- low them to sit or stand on the appliance.  Be sure to supervise any children in the vicinity of the cooktop, and do not let them play with it.

Installation, maintenance, and re- pairs must only be carried out by a Miele authorized technician.  Damage to the cooktop can compromise your safety. Check the cooktop for visible signs of damage. Do not use the cooktop if it is damaged.
  • Page 8 Do not open the casing of the cooktop under any circumstances.  Any repairs not performed by a Miele authorized service techni- cian will void the warranty.  Defective components should be replaced by Miele original parts only.

There is a potential hazard until the residual heat indicator goes out.  Never leave the appliance unattended at high heat settings –  Boilover causes smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
