45 Setting up the Fiery XJ as a PostScript printer
Completing the Windows 95 connection
To print from Windows 95 you need to:
• Set up network servers, if any.
• Set up the Fiery XJ to accept print jobs from your computer.
• Configure a port on each Windows 95 computer for the network or connection
type.
Completing the Windows 95 parallel port connection

O SET UP PARALLEL PORT PRINTING FOR
1. Click the Start button, choose Settings, and then choose Printers.
2. Click the Fiery XJ icon and choose Properties from the File menu (or right-click the
icon and left-click Properties).
3. Click the Details tab.
LPT 1: (Printer Port) should appear in the "Print to the following port:" pop-up
menu.
4. Click Spool Settings.
5. Select "Print directly to the printer" and "Disable bi-directional support for this
printer", and click OK.
You are now ready to print from your applications to the Fiery XJ with the parallel
port. To confirm the connection, you can print a Windows 95 test page.
