28 Configuring the NET_WSCK.INI file
Configuring the NET_WSCK.INI file
If you installed the default NET_WSCK.INI file included with your Fiery XJ
software, you must properly configure this file to be able to use the Fiery XJ utilities
with the Fiery XJ.
If you are using Windows 3.1x, you must copy this file to the WINDOWS folder of
every user. The installer will not automatically place it in the correct folder.

Before you begin

• If you are using IPX/SPX:
Print the Configuration page from the Control Panel and note the Ethernet IPX
address for the Fiery XJ.
• If you are using TCP/IP:
Set up a Domain Name Server (DNS) for the IP address of the Fiery XJ in the
printcap file.
• If your network does not support DNS servers:
Edit the HOSTS file in your WINDOWS folder and insert an IP address for the
Fiery XJ.
