Intended use

Use the low pressure cleaner in private households only.
The low pressure cleaner is intended for cleaning machines, vehicles, tools, façades, terraces, garden machines, pets etc. using a low-pressure water stream without additional detergents.

Accessories and spare parts

Only use original accessories and original spare parts. They ensure that the appliance will run fault-free and safely.
Information on accessories and spare parts can be found at www.kaercher.com.

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery for the appliance is shown on the packaging. Check the contents for completeness when unpacking. If any accessories are missing or in the event of any shipping damage, please notify your dealer.

Safety devices


Missing or modified safety devices
Safety devices are provided for your own protection.
Never modify or bypass safety devices.

Power switch

The power switch prevents unintentional operation of the device.

Pressure switch

If the lever on the trigger gun is released, the pressure switch turns off the pump and the low pressure stream is stopped. The pump switches on again when the lever is pressed.

Motor circuit breaker

The motor circuit breaker shuts off the device if power consumption it too high.

Symbols on the device

Charge the battery pack only using the original charger enclosed or with a charger approved by KÄRCHER.

The maximum amount of equipment is described in these operating instructions. Depending on the model used, there are differences in the scope of delivery (see packaging).

Battery is being charged.
The battery is fully charged.
Low battery voltage warning (approx. 2 minutes operating time remaining).
The battery is discharged. The device switches itself off and cannot be switched back on.
The motor circuit breaker has tripped (see Chapter Troubleshooting guide).

Starting up

  1. Place the device on a flat and level surface.

Note
The charge indicator flashes during the charging procedure. This lights up continuously when the battery is fully charged. For information on the charging time, see Chapter Technical data.

Water supply

ATTENTION
Contamination in the water
Damage to the pump and accessories Fill the reservoir with clear water only.
Ensure that only clear water is sucked in.

Damage to the device
Do not fill the water reservoir with any detergents, pesticides or other additives.
Do not immerse the device in water.
Remove the water reservoir for filling.

  1. Pivot the carrying handle of the device to the side.

  2. Pull the water reservoir vertically upwards.

  3. Open the water reservoir lid and fill the water reservoir.

  4. Fit the water reservoir on the device.

Note
Take care to ensure that the low-pressure hose lies in the recess and is not crushed.

Sucking water from open containers

  1. Pull the water reservoir vertically upwards.
  2. Remove the valve opener using the suction hose connection or a suitable pair of pliers.

  3. Plug the suction hose connection onto the fine filter.

  4. Remove the fine filter using the suction hose connection or a suitable pair of pliers.

  5. Remove the fine filter from the suction hose connection.
  6. Fit the suction hose connection into the device and fasten in place by turning it 90°.

  7. Hang the suction hose with the integrated filter into the water source (e.g. rainwater drum).

ATTENTION
Loss of valve opener and fine filter
Device cannot be operated
Store the valve opener and fine filter in the storage compartment provided.
Fit the valve opener and fine filter before using the device with the water reservoir. Ensure that the pin of the valve opener points upwards.

Operation

ATTENTION
Pump running dry
Damage to the device
If pressure does not build up in the device after 2 minutes then switch the device off and proceed according to the instructions in chapter Troubleshooting guide.

  1. Press the power switch.

  2. Press the lever of the trigger gun.

Approx. 2 minutes before the operating time ends (see Chapter Technical data), the charge level indicator will start to flash.

Operation with conical jet nozzle

The conical jet nozzle is suitable for gentle cleaning of fur and paws or particularly sensitive components.

Eye injuries and hearing damage Do not direct the spray jet at eyes or ears.

  1. Fit the conical jet nozzle.

Operation with detergent


Failure to adhere to the safety data sheet
Incorrect handling of the detergent can seriously damage your health
Observe the safety data sheet of the detergent manufacturer, in particular the instructions on personal protective equipment.

ATTENTION
Improper water supply

Damage to the device
Do not fill the water reservoir with any detergents, pesticides or other additives.

Recommended cleaning method

  1. Spray the detergent sparingly on the dry surface and let it work for a while (do not let it dry).
  2. Rinse off the loosened dirt with the low pressure stream.

Operation with universal brush

ATTENTION
Damage to surfaces through a dirty universal brush
Paint damage
Ensure that the universal brush is free from dirt or other particles before using it.

  1. Fit the universal brush.

Interrupting operation

  1. Release the lever of the trigger gun. After another 5 minutes without being pressed, the device shuts off automatically.

Ending operation

  1. Remove the reservoir or suction hose.
  2. Switch the device on.
  3. Actuate the lever of the trigger gun until no more water is emitted.
  4. Release the lever of the trigger gun.
  5. Completely empty the reservoir.
  6. If necessary, reinsert the fine filter and valve opener. Ensure that the pin of the valve opener points upwards.

Transport

Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.

  1. Observe regulations for dangerous goods during transport.

Manual transport

  1. Lift and carry the device by the carrying handle.

Transport in vehicles

  1. Secure the device against slipping and tipping over.

Storage

Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during storage.

Storing the device

  1. Place the device on a level surface.
  2. Store the device within the permissible temperature range (see Chapter Technical data).

Frost protection

ATTENTION
Danger of frost

Incompletely emptied devices can be destroyed by frost.
Completely empty the device and accessories.
Protect the device from frost.

  1. Drain the device (see Chapter Ending operation).

Switch off the device and unplug the charger from the device before performing any work on the device.

Cleaning the valve opener/fine filter
Clean the valve opener and fine filter regularly.

  1. Pull the water reservoir vertically upwards.
  2. Remove the valve opener using the suction hose connection or a suitable pair of pliers.

Troubleshooting guide


Touching live parts
Danger of injury from electric shock
Switch off the device and unplug the charger from the device before performing any work on the device.
Have repair work and work on electrical components carried out by the authorised customer service only.

Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.

Device not running

The charging state of the battery is too low.

  1. Check the charging state of the battery and charge it if necessary.

Motor overloaded; the motor circuit breaker has tripped.

  1. Switch off the device.
  2. Switch the device on and resume operation.

The ambient temperature lies outside the permissible range (see Chapter Technical data), the motor circuit breaker has tripped.

  1. Switch off the device.
  2. Allow the device to cool down/heat up.
  3. Switch the device on and resume operation.
    Have the device checked by Customer Service if this malfunction occurs repeatedly.

Device does not reach required pressure

  1. Make sure there is enough water in the tank or water container.
  2. Clean the valve opener and fine filter (see Chapter Cleaning the valve opener/fine filter).
  3. Make sure that the valve opener is inserted with the pin pointing upwards.

Strong pressure fluctuations

  1. Clean the nozzle: Remove contamination and debris from the nozzle hole, using a needle and rinse with water from the front.
  2. Make sure there is enough water in the reservoir or water container.

Device leaking

  1. The device leaks a small amount for technical reasons. If the leak is severe, request authorised Customer Service.

Charger

  • Never touch the mains plug and socket with wet hands.
  • Never insert conductive objects, e.g. screwdrivers or similar, into the charging socket on the appliance.
  • Danger of explosion. Do not charge any non-rechargeable battery.
  • Do not charge the battery pack in an explosion-hazard environment.

  • Only charge the appliance using the original charger enclosed or with a charger approved by KÄRCHER.
  • Protect the power cable from heat, sharp edges, oil and moving parts.
  • Do not open the charger. Repairs are only to be carried out by qualified personnel.
  • Only use the charger for charging approved battery packs.
  • Immediately replace a damaged charger together with charging cable with an original part.
  • The appliance contains electrical components - do not clean the appliance under running water.
  • You may not charge the battery pack for longer than 24 hours without interruption.

  • Do not use the battery pack when dirty or wet.
  • Keep the charger ventilation slits free of obstructions.
  • Do not pull the mains plug out the socket using the power supply cable.
  • Do not carry/transport the device using the power supply cable.

ATTENTION


  • Short circuit hazard. Protect the contacts of the battery pack from metal parts.
  • Only use and store the charger in dry rooms.

Battery

  • Never insert conductive objects, e.g. screwdrivers or similar, into the charging socket on the appliance.
  • Do not expose the battery to strong sunlight, heat or fire.

ATTENTION

  • This device contains non-replaceable batteries. Does not apply to appliances with a replaceable battery pack

Safe handling

  • The device is not intended for use by children, persons with restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities or persons unfamiliar with these instructions.
  • Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities and persons lacking experience and knowledge may only use the appliance if they are properly supervised, have been instructed on use of the appliance safely by a person responsible for their safety, and understand the resultant hazards involved.
  • Children must not play with the appliance.
  • Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
  • Only use the device for its proper use. Take into account the local conditions and beware of third parties, in particular children, when working with the device.
  • Adhere to the respective safety regulations in hazard zones (e.g. service stations). Never operate the device in explosive spaces.
  • Do not spray any objects which contain harmful substances (e.g. asbestos).
  • Risk of injury. Do not direct the spray jet onto the eyes.

  • Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped beforehand, is visibly damaged or if it is leaking.
  • Only operate or store the device in accordance with the description or figure.
  • Never leave the device unsupervised while it is in operation.
  • In order to guarantee stability, place the device on a firm, flat surface.
  • Accidents or damage due to the device falling over. Before all actions with or on the device, you must make sure that it is stable.

ATTENTION

  • Do not fill with any cleaning agents or other supplements.
  • Device damage. Never fill the water reservoir with solvents, liquids containing solvents or undiluted acids (e.g. detergents, petrol, paint thinners and acetone).
  • Device damage due to dry running. Only switch on the device when water is present in the water reservoir.
  • Do not operate the device at temperatures below 0°C.
