SETTING
UP NEW
T-DISK
BASIC
DISKS
(FORMATTING)
You
receive
two
very
important
disks
with
your
floppy
disk
drive
unit:
the
T-DISK
BASIC
system
disk
and
the
CP/M
system
disk.
Prior
pages
instructed
you
to
write-protect
these
disks.
You
should
also
make
backup
copies of them
and store the originals.
The
following
pages
will
teach
you
the _ different
procedures
for
copying
CP/M
and
T-DISK
BASIC
disks.
Before
you can
copy
to a disk
or use
any
blank
disks
in
any
way,
you
must
first "format"
them.
Be very
careful
to
format
only
blank
disks,
as
formatting
erases
any
information
on
a disk.
Formatting
is also
different
for
the two types of system
disks.
The
following
directions
for
T-DISK
BASIC
formatting
assume
that
you
have
replied
to
the
initial
screen
requests
and received
the prompt
Ok.
INSERT:
The
System
Disk
in Drive
1 (the
one
on
the left).
PRESS:
PF2
RECEIVE:
LOAD
"
TYPE:
FORMAT
(right after
LOAD
", all in
uppercase)
PRESS:
JJ
