PREPARATION

Before filling your DCM SPREADER 2500 PRO, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with how this
spreader works.
• Take a look at the spreading settings table to check which setting is the correct one for the
material to be spread based on the recommended dose on the packaging.
• The slide plate in the hopper should open/close smoothly when pushing the control lever forward or
backward. If this is not the case, check the assembly instructions.
• Make sure that the spreader does not contain residues from previous spreading sessions or other
material not intended for spreading.
• Check whether the material to be applied is dry and easily spreadable to ensure it will flow freely
through the hopper.
CLOSED
• As you start walking with the fertiliser spreader, push the control lever forward. The application
hole in the hopper will now open according to the set spreading settings. To stop, close the
application hole before you halt by pulling the control lever towards you.
• It is preferable to spread when the weather is dry so that the material in the hopper does not get
damp.
WARNING: Do not pour material in the hopper when the application hole is open. This is to avoid spills and consequently

possible damage in the spreading zone. Do not open the hopper hole until you are in the area where you want to spread
the product and walk briskly.

• Make sure the spreading quantity and spreading pattern are set correctly. The
correct spreading quantity can easily be set using the wing nut on the control
lever. By tightening it, the lever cannot go beyond the set position.
• Close the application hole before filling the hopper. (The hole should look
as shown). Make sure to fill the spreader in a safer area .
