do?
The adaptive cruise control works in conjunction
with

radar sensor instal led in

front of the
vehicle

On open roads with no traff ic, adaptive cruise
control works like
a
regula
r
cruise control system.
The
stored speed is mainta ined

When
approach-
ing a moving vehicle detected
up
ahead, the
adaptive cruise control system automatically
slows down to match that vehicle's spe ed and
then maintains the distance that the driver
previ-
ously stored.
As
soon as
t
he system does not de-
t ect
a vehicle up ahead, adap

ive cruise control
accelerates back up to the stored speed
.
Which

be controlled?
When you switch adaptive cruise control on, you
can set the cur rent speed as the "control speed"
