When you depress the accelerator pedal beyond
the resistance point, the automatic transmiss ion
downshifts into a lower gear, dependi ng

next higher

specified engine speed is reached.

Please note that the drive whee ls can spin if
kick-down is used on a smooth slippery road -

Launch Control Program

The Launch Control Program provides the best
acceleration possible when starting from a stop.
Requirement:
The
engine must be at operating
temperature and the steering wheel must not be
turned.
