The rear parking assist system uses ultrasoni

sensors to determ ine the distance of the veh icle
from a detected obstacle. There are a total of
four sensors located on the rear bumper (two in
the middle and two on the sides)

The parking system (rear, with rear view camera)

Reversing
Distance warning when reversing starts when an
obstacle is detected in t he range of the parking
assist system
.
As the distance decreases,
t he
tim
e
inte
rval
between the audible tones becomes
short
er.
When the distance is less than 1ft (0 .30
m),
the
tone becomes cont
inuous.
At
t
his point you
should stop backing
up.
Please note that low objects already signa
ll
ed by
a war ning can disappear from the system's detec
-
tion range and will not continue
t
o be sig
nall
ed.
If the distance to an obstacle remains the same,
the volume of the dista nce warning is gradually
reduced after about 4 seconds (this does not ap-
ply
in t
he continous tone range). App roaching an-

Malfunctions in the system
If a warning tone is aud ible for about five sec-
onds when you turn on
