Before installing this eSATA card into your computer, you may need to set
jumpers on the card. This is especially true for Windows users. The jumper
settings depend on the type of PCI slot into which you will be installing the card.
In particular, you need to know the Megahertz (MHz) for the slot. Many PCs use
the original PCI spec of 33MHz. If you are not certain, consult the User Manual
for your computer or motherboard.
This chart shows how jumpers
should be set for your PCI slot.
For 133MHz or 100MHz PCI-X
slots, use no jumpers.
For 66MHz PCI slots, set
jumpers as shown above.
For 66MHz PCI-X slots, set
jumper as shown above.
For 33MHz PCI slots, set
jumpers as shown above.
