Installation Instructions
1.
Check the accessories with your SATADock. Please contact WiebeTech if any items are missing or damaged.
The box should contain:
SATADock
AC adapter & power cord
FireWire 800 cable
USB cable
SATA cable
Metal bottom plate
Hard drive screws
Rubber bumpers
Manual and Warranty information
2.
Attach bottom plate to your 3.5" hard drive. This step is optional but recommended.
The purpose of the bottom plate is to provide protection to your drive electronics. Attach the
bottom plate to your drive using the four screws that are supplied. Attach a rubber bumper to
each corner. Extra bottom plates are available from WiebeTech.
3.
Plug one end of the included SATA cable to the back of the drive and the other end into the
SATA port inside the SATADock. You may access the port through the small slot on the top of the
case. Do not force it; the cable connectors will only fit into the ports one way.
4.
Plug the SATA power cable for the SATADock into the back of the drive.
Do not force it. Like the smaller SATA data cable, the power cable will fit only one
way.
