Playback of Audio Sources

Press the POWER switch ON.
Select the playback source with the INPUT SELECTOR.
For playback with PHONO,
TUNER
or CD input the
DAT/TAPE 1, TAPE 2 switch must be set to OFF.

Operate the selected component.
(Refer
to the corresponding
instruction
manual
for
operation details)
Adjust the volume.
If left and right levéls are unbalanced, adjust them with the
BALANCE switches. To reset to the center position, press
both switches (L and R) simultaneously.
Adjust the tone.
Adjust the TREBLE and BASS switches to obtain the desired
tone.
When using the ACOUSTIC MEMORY function, select the
desired setting with the SELECT switch.
When
listening to monaural
sources,
you can create a
simulated stereo effect by turning the SIMULATED STEREO
switch ON.
Select an appropriate SURROUND
mode, if desired.

Turn the color monitor or TV power on.
When using a TV, set it to an empty channel, and set the
RF modulator output channel accordingly.
Operate the component selected at step 3.

Adjust the volume.
Adjust the tone.
In the same way as for audio sources:
Adjust the
BALANCE,
TREBLE,
BASS,
ACOUSTIC
MEMORY SELECT, and SIMULATED STEREO controls as
required,
When playing back from the VCR, select STEREO or MONO
with the VCR MODE switch. If necessary. turn ON the VCR
NOISE FILTER switch.
When Using a Video Adaptor
When
a color corrector
or enhancr
is connected
to the
VIDEO
ADAPTOR
terminals
on the rear
panel, turn the
VIDEO ADAPTOR | switch ON before operation.
