REAR PANEL FACILITIES
@ CONTROL IN/OUT Terminals
These terminals are for input/output of control signals when
operating other components with the attached remote control
unit (See page 15 for details.).
@ CD Input Terminals
Connect to the output terminals of your CD player.

Terminals
REC:
Connect to the record (input) terminals of a digital audio tape
(DAT) deck or analog tape deck.
PLAY:
Connect to the play (output) terminals of a digital audio tape
(DAT) deck or analog tape deck.
NOTE:
For connection
to a DAT deck connect to the analog
input/output terminals of the deck.
@ TAPE 2 REC/PLAY Terminals
REC:
Connect to the record (input) terminals of a tape deck.
PLAY:
Connect to the play (output) terminals of a tape deck.

@ VDP/CDV AUDIO/VIDEO IN Terminals
Connect to the audio/video output terminals of a video disc
player or video compact disc player.
@ SURROUND
PRE AMP OUT Terminals
Use these terminals for increasing the surround sound output
with an optional power amplifier.
Connect the power cord of this additional power amplifier to
the AC OUTLET (SWITCHED) of this unit.

For connection of an optional pre-amplifier when using this unit
as power amplifier.

SURROUND
BALANCE Control knob
Adjust the control before performing surround playback. For
adjustment select STADIUM or DOLBY SURROUND with the
SURROUND switch on the front panel. While playing back a
monaural source (AM broadcast, etc.), adjust this control so
that the surround (rear) speaker sound level becomes minimum.
NOTE:
Always perform this adjustment. Otherwise, you will not
obtain the correct surround playback.
