NOTE: These procedures are recommended in order to keep your UNINET DTF 1000 printer
functioning at optimal performance and to minimize printhead clogs and ink smudges. If you do not
follow these procedures and/or you suffer from a clog due to other circumstances (such as humidity
or other environmental deviations), you will need to do additional CLEANING CYCLES and possibly a
manual printhead flush (as a last resort) to help clean out any serious clog. Manual flushing should
not be done INSIDE the printer, as any liquid spills on the printer electronics can cause damage to
the printhead or printer boards. If a manual flushing is necessary, you should remove the printhead
from the printer and carefully flush it over a sink and away from printer components and electronics.
DO NOT RUN YOUR PRINTER IF THE PRINTHEAD IS WET. Manual flushing requires a 24 drying period
before powering on your printer, or you risk shorting out the head and motherboard.
