SECTION 8 MAINTENANCE

8.2 Igniter-Injector

The ignitor-injector should be inspected annually and replaced at least every 24 months of operation,
sooner if there is substantial erosion or carbon build-up. Parts and instructions are included in the 12
Month Maintenance Kit.
The igniter-injector may be hot; care should be exercised to avoid burns. It is easier to remove the
igniter-injector after the unit has cooled to room temperature. Note that during installation, use the
number of indexing (clocking) washers necessary so that, when tight, the gas injection tube is positioned
as shown in Figure 8-1b.

8.3 Flame Detector

The Flame Detector (kit P/N 24356-1) is located on the burner plate at the top of the unit (see Figure 8-1a through

The flame detector should be inspected every 12 months and replaced every 24 months, or sooner if
damaged or warped. Note, allow the unit to cool sufficiently before removing the flame detector.
