    In the event that you do need a replacement part or system, we’ll ship it to you right away, along with a prepaid UPS return shipping label and a package for the defective part or system to be returned to our offi ce. Nexus 21 will cover the shipping cost of the replacement part or system within the continental United States and Canada (excludes Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico).

    Assembly & Installation This section of the manual will walk you through how to assemble and install your lift system and can be performed with the lift system on the ground.
  • Page 9 1. Slide the First Stage Cable Management Bracket into place on the right side of the Lift System and secure it using (2) M6 x12 FHMS.
  • Page 10 2. Attach the top of the Cable Track to the First Stage Cable Management Bracket using (2) M6 x 10 BHMS. Note: Ensure the opening on the Bottom of the Cable Track is facing the same direction as the opening on the Top.
  • Page 11 3. Attach the Second Stage Cable Management Bracket to the Main Lift Assembly using (2) M6 x 12 BHMS.
  • Page 12 4a. Fasten (2) M6 x 12 BHMS to the Second Stage Cable Management Bracket, but do not fully tighten. 4b. Slide the Snakeskin Bracket onto the Second Stage Cable Management Bracket and tighten the (2) M6 x 12 BHMS from Step 4a.
  • Page 13 5a. Connect one end of the 1m Motor Cable to the top actuator and run the rest of the cable along the green path. 5b. Connect one end of the 2.5m Motor Cable to the bottom actuator and run the rest of the cable along the red path.
  • Page 14 6a. Install the Control Box on the Right Side of your enclosure using (2) #10 x 1-3/4” FHWS. Note: For the remainder of this Installation Manual, the Control Box will be hidden from view. From this point forward, the manual assumes the Installation Bracket has been installed. If it has not, locate the Installation Manual in Box 1and complete this first.
  • Page 15 Push 6b. Push the Paddles on the Left and Right Side of the Installation Bracket and lower the Secondary Bracket.
  • Page 16 3rd Hook 2nd Hook 1st Hook 7. Using the handles on the side of the Lift Assembly, hoist the Lift Assembly onto the first set of hooks on the Installation Bracket.
  • Page 17 8. Using the handles on the side of the Lift Assembly, hoist the Lift Assembly onto the second set of hooks on the Installation Bracket.
  • Page 18 9. Using the handles on the side of the Lift Assembly, hoist the Lift Assembly onto the third set of hooks on the Installation Bracket.
  • Page 19 10. Secure the Lift System to the Installation Bracket using (2) M6 x 12 FHMS.
  • Page 20 11. Push the lift system up on the Installation Bracket until the Installation Bracket is fully retracted. Note: There is a halfway point that the system will stop at, depress the paddles and continue pushing the lift system up.
  • Page 21 12a. Lock the Installation Bracket into its final position using (2) M6 x 12 BHMS. 12b. Once the Installation Bracket is fully retracted, secure the bracket to the rear of the enclosure or wall using (4) #14 x 1” FHWS.

    Connecting the Lift System This section of the manual will walk you through how to connect your lift system.
  • Page 23 Bottom View Use any of the red holes 13. Temporarily fasten the Collision Detection Module to the bottom of the Screen Support Adapter using (1) M6 x 10 BHMS. Note: You can use any of the holes in red to secure the module.

  • Page 28 17a. Remove the M6 x 10 BHMS Screw holding the Collision Detection Module and remove the Collision Detection Module. 17b. Disconnect the Collision Detection Module from the Control Box. Note: The lift will not operate until the Collision Detection Module is re-installed in a later step.
  • Page 29 18a. Locate the Screen Support Cable Management Bracket and loosen the (4) M6 x 12 BHMS on it. 18b. Slide the Snakeskin Retaining Bracket off and place it to the side. This bracket will be used in a later step.
  • Page 30 Attach Cable Tie 19a. Secure the Screen Support Cable Management Bracket to the Screen Support using (2) M6 x 12 BHMS. 19b. Secure the Cable Tie to the Screen Support using (1) M4 x 6 BHMS.

  • Page 33 22. Attach the Lower Snakeskin Bracket to the Screen Support Cable Management Bracket using (2) M6 x 12 BHMS.
  • Page 34 23a. Route the cable for the Collision Detection Module along the outlined path and plug into port A2 on your Control Box. The cable will pass behind the Snakeskin Wrap on the bottom. Note: Take this time to run any necessary AV cables along the same path.
  • Page 35 23b. Secure the bottom of the Cable Track to the First Stage Cable Management Bracket using (2) M6 x 10 BHMS.
  • Page 36 24. Slide the Snakeskin Retaining Bracket onto the Screen Support Cable Management Bracket, then tighten the (2) screws to secure it.

    Ceiling Cover Installation This section will walk you through installing your Ceiling Cover on your Lift System.
  • Page 38 3 3/8 in 26a. Press the Retract button to retract your lift system. 26b. Install the Ceiling Cover Support Brackets 3 3/8 in [8.6 cm] away from the bottom opening of your enclosure using (8) M6 x 12 BHMS.
  • Page 39 Push Up Slide Forward Lower 27a. Lower your lift system by pressing the Extend Button. 27b. Separate the Ceiling Cover Adapter Plate from the Ceiling Cover Plate by pushing on the front of the Ceiling Cover Adapter and sliding it out. If there are any cardboard inserts, remove them.
  • Page 40 5/8 in Center Optional for additional Ceiling Cover Support 28a. Center the Ceiling Cover Adapter plate horizontally on your Ceiling Cover. 28b. Mount the Ceiling Cover Adapter Plate 5/8” from the back edge of your Ceiling Cover using (8) #10 x 5/8 FHWS. 28c.

Connect your Ceiling Cover Adapter Plate back to the Ceiling Cover Plate by sliding the raised flange into the opening, then push up to clip the Ceiling Cover Adapter Plate into place. 29b. Hook the provided Lanyards around the screw head on the left and right side of the Ceiling Cover Assembly.
  • Page 42 STOP You are about to retract your assembled lift system for the first time with a Ceiling Cover attached. Ensure that there are no obstructions in the path of travel for your lift, including any catches for your celing cover to rest against. Any obstruction or ceiling cover catch will cause damage to your lift and void your 10 year warranty.
  • Page 43 IMPORTANT: THE L-77i & L-77ix FEATURE A NEW CEILING COVER DESIGN - YOU MUST NOT CREATE A CEILING COVER CATCH AS PART OF YOUR INSTALLATION. THE CEILING COVER MUST BE ABLE TO RETRACT ABOVE IT’S NORMAL CLOSED POSITION AS A PART OF THE RESET PROCEDURE.
  • Page 44 30. Press the Retract Button to raise the Lift System to check the fit of your Ceiling Cover with the surrounding ceiling/enclosure. Carefully watch to ensure the Ceiling Cover or the Lift will not make contact with any points of the surrounding enclosure. If needed, press the Extend button to stop the Lift at any point during travel.

Loosen the (2) Locking Screws on the back of the Ceiling Cover Assembly, then adjust the Ceiling Cover as necessary to align the Ceiling Cover to be flush with the surrounding ceiling material using the fine adjustments on the Ceiling Cover Plate.

  • Page 49 34a. Disconnect the Screen Backplate from the Vertical Mounting Bars. Note: You can disengage the spring-loaded latch on the Vertical Mounting Bars by pulling the straps at the bottom. 34b. Attach the Screen Back Plate to the holes on the Screen Support that correspond with the Marked Holes on your TV Mounting Template using (4) M6 x 12 FHMS.
  • Page 50 35a. Attach the Vertical Mounting Bars to your TV using the Marked Holes and appropriate TV Mounting Hardware. 35b. Carefully hang your TV on the Screen Backplate, ensure the spring-loaded latch on each Vertical Mounting Bar is engaged with the Screen Backplate. Note: If needed, the level of the TV can be adjusted by using the bolts on the back of each Vertical Mounting Bar.
