Diagnostics
1) From the Choose Curve (2.1) screen, press OK to enter Choose Curve.
2) Select either EFF Curve or False Echo.
a. Press Up Arrow or Right Arrow to toggle between the two curves.
b. Press Right Arrow to move one segment to the right. Right Arrow will
scroll left to right and then back to the first segment.
c. When the curve is selected, press OK to view the curve.
3) EFF Curve (EchoCurve) graphically displays the primary echo return(s) the
transmitter sees, the location and amplitude of the return(s), and the numeric
air gap distance from the bottom of the transmitter to the level below. Always
check to see if the peak matches the location of the level.
a. Press Up Arrow to toggle between different ranges on the X-axis.
b. Press Right Arrow to toggle between showing and not showing the
Envelope.
c. When done, press OK to leave
4) False EchoCurve graphically displays the echoes which are removed from
consideration as acceptable media return signals. Creating a False EchoCurve
will help to filter out potential false signals and will improve the performance of
EchoBeam
®
.
