Make sure there are no air leaks at the connections. Review

[FIG. 11] for common leak points.
Note: Any air leak will affect separation performance. Make
sure to check your dust drum frequently so you do not overfill
it. One option to check for air leaks is with a smoke test. Test
kits are found at most hardware stores in the HVAC section.
Introduce smoke around every leak point. If you see the smoke
being drawn into the system, you've found an air leak that
needs to be sealed.
