1.The product has two fittings on one side for tubing connections, with the bottom one for inlet and the top for outlet. Connections of the aquarium/tank and water pump can be made with either soft or hard tubing (hard tubing is better for high water flow). My Vevor 416L Aquarium chiller (discontinued) is not setting the tank to the desired temp of 36 degrees. It is only getting it to 68 degrees. Please advise how to troubleshoot.
To troubleshoot a VEVOR S2TL-3500 aquarium chiller that is not reaching the desired temperature of 36 degrees, follow these steps:
1. Check Refrigerant Level: Low refrigerant or leakage can reduce cooling capacity. Contact a certified technician to check and refill the refrigerant.
2. Improve Heat Dissipation:
- Ensure good ventilation around the unit.
- Keep at least 30 cm clearance at the back and both sides, and 60 cm at the front.
- Remove any dust accumulation on the air inlet and radiator fins.
3. Check for Blockages:
- Make sure water flow is not blocked.
- Inspect tubing for kinks or tangles.
4. Water Volume:
- If ambient temperature is high and target water temperature is low (36°F or 2.2°C), reduce the water volume to improve performance.
5. Check Temperature Sensor:
- If the digital display shows “E1”, the temperature sensor may be faulty or installed incorrectly. Check its placement or replace if needed.
6. Calibrate Water Temperature:
- Press and hold “SET” for 10 seconds to enter the temperature error adjustment mode.
