• FRONT
SP SMALL
If the sound is distorted,
or you feel a lack of
surround
effects
when using multi channel
surround
sound,
select "FRONT
SP
SMALL"
to activate
the bass redirection
circuitry
and output
the front channel
bass
frequencies
from the sub woofer.
When the
front speakers
are set to "FRONT
SP
SMALL",
the center
and surround
speakers
are also automatically
set to "CTR
SP
SMALL"
and "SUR SP SMALL"
(unless
previously
set to "CTR
SP NO" and "SUR
SP NO").
• CENTER SPEAKER (Center
speaker)
• CTR SP LARGE
If you connect
a large speaker
that will
effectively
reproduce
bass frequencies,
select "CTR
SP LARGE".
Normally,
select
"CTR SP LARGE".
However.
if the front
speakers
are set to "FRONT
SP SMALL",
you cannot set the center speaker
to "CTR
SP LARGE".
• CTR SP SMALL
If the sound is distorted,
or you feel a lack of
surround
effects
when using multi channel
surronnd
sound,
select "CTR
SP SMALL"
to activate the bass redirection
circuitry
and
output the center channel
bass frequencies
from the front speakers
(if set to "FRONT
SP LARGE")
or sub woofer.
• CTR SP NO
If you have not connected
a center speaker.
select "CTR
SP NO". The sound of the
center channel
will be outpnt
from the front
speakers.
• SUR SPEAKER
(Surround speakers)
The surround
back speaker
will be set to the
same setting.
• SUR SP LARGE
If yon connect
large speakers
that will
effectively
reproduce
bass frequencies,
select "SUR
SP LARGE".
Nornmlly,
select
"SUR
SP LARGE".
However,
if the front
speakers
are set to "FRONT
SP SMALL",
you cannot set the surround
speakers
to
"SUR
SP LARGE".
• SUR SP SMALL
If the sound is distorted,
or you feel a lack of
surround
effects when using multi channel
surround
sound,
select "SUR
SP SMALL"
to activate
the bass redirection
circuitry
and
output the snrronnd
channel
bass
frequencies
from the sub woofer or other
speaker
that is set to "LARGE".
• SUR SP NO
If you have not connected
surround
speakers,
select "SUR
SP NO".
• SB SPEAKER
(Surround back speaker)
When the surround
speakers
are set to "SUR
SP NO", the surround
hack speaker
is also
automatically
set to "SB SP NO" and the
setting cannot be changed.
• SB SP DUAL
If you connect
two surround
back speakers,
select "SB SP DUAL".
The sound will be
output to a nmximum
of 7.1 channels.
• SB SP SINGLE
If you connect
only one surround
back
speaker,
select "SB SP SINGLE".
The sound
will be output to a maximum
of 6.1
channels.
• SB SP NO
If you have not connected
a surround
back
speaker,
select "SB SP NO".
