Microphone / Line Mixer
with Audio Player
These instructions are intended for users with-
out any specific technical knowledge . Please
read the instructions carefully prior to oper-
ation and keep them for later reference . All
operating elements and connections described
can be found in the figures on page 2 .
1 Applications
This audio mixer with three input channels is
suited for universal applications, for example
in bars or function rooms . It offers connections
for a microphone and two stereo audio sources
with line signal level (e . g . mixer, CD player) . It
also features an integrated audio player with
USB port, a slot for memory cards and a Blue-
tooth receiver . The mixed signal is available at
two outputs .
The mixer is designed for installation into a
rack for devices with a width of 482 mm (19") .
In the rack, one rack unit (1 U = 44 .45 mm) is
required .

2 Safety Notes

Protect it against dripping water, splash
water and high air humidity . The admissi-
ble ambient temperature range is 0 – 40 °C .
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on
the product, e . g . a drinking glass .
Do not use this product and immediately
disconnect the mains plug from the socket
1 . if the device or the mains cable is visibly
damaged,
2 . if a defect might have occurred after the
device was dropped or suffered a similar
accident,
3 . if malfunctions occur .
Any repairs must be carried out by special-
ists .
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize
the plug .
For cleaning the product only use a dry, soft
cloth; never use water or chemicals .
No guarantee claims for the product and no lia-
bility for any resulting personal damage or ma-
terial damage will be accepted if the product
is not correctly used or not expertly repaired .
If the product is to be put out of op-
eration definitively, dispose of the
product in accordance with local
regulations .

3 Connection
Before connecting /disconnecting, switch off
all devices concerned .
1) To connect a microphone, use the jack
MIC  (2): Connect the microphone via a
6 .3 mm plug or XLR plug .
2) Two inputs are provided to connect stereo
audio sources with line signal level (e . g . MP3
player, CD player, FM / DAB tuner, tape deck,
PC, mixer):
– the 3 .5 mm jack AUX (3);
when this jack is used, the integrated
audio player will be muted .
– the RCA jacks INPUT CD / LINE (14);
L (white) = left, R (red) = right
3) To route the mixed signal to subsequent
devices (e . g . to an amplifier), two outputs
(15) are provided which can be used at the
same time:
– the RCA jacks OUTPUT UNBAL .
– the XLR connectors OUTPUT BAL .
The XLR outputs should be preferred; the
balanced signal transmission of XLR con-
nections is less susceptible to interference .
4) For power supply, connect the mains cable
provided to the mains jack (16) first and then
to a mains socket .

4 Operation

1) Before switching on the mixer for the first
time, set the total volume control VOLUME
(12) to "MIN" .
2) Use the POWER switch (1) to switch on the
mixer .
3) Turn up the control VOLUME to adjust the
total volume desired; for each audio source
to be heard, adjust the volume by means of
the corresponding control:
– control MIC (9) for the microphone con-
nected to the input MIC (2)
– control AUX / MP3 (10) for the device
connected to the input AUX (3) or, when
the input AUX is not used, for the inte-
grated audio player (the basic volume for
the audio player is adjusted separately:
 fig . 4)
– control LINE (11) for the device connected
to the input CD / LINE (14)
When an input / an audio source is not used,
set its control to "MIN" .
4) Use the controls TREBLE and BASS (13) to
adjust the tone for the mixed signal .
4.1 Audio player
When the mixer is switched on, the audio
player will be automatically activated and the
operating mode last used ("USB storage me-
dium", "Memory card" or "Bluetooth") will
be selected .
4.1.1 Infrared remote control
The remote control provided uses a battery
(3 V button cell, type CR 2025) . If a battery has
been inserted in the factory, remove the pro-
tective film (to protect the battery from being
discharged) from the battery support . The re-
mote control is now ready for use . When you
press a button on the remote control, always
point the remote control at the infrared sen-
sor (4) . Make sure that there are no obstacles
between the remote control and the sensor .
If the remote control is not used for a
longer period of time, remove the battery as a
precaution so that the remote control will not
be damaged in case the battery should leak .
Inserting / Replacing the battery:
1) Push the latch of the battery support to the
right (arrow 1 in fig . 3) and then pull out
the support (arrow 2) .

2) To replace the battery, remove the dis-
charged battery .
3) Insert the new battery in the support, posi-
tive pole facing upwards . Push the support
back into the remote control .
Never put batteries in the house-
hold waste . Always dispose of the
batteries in accordance with local
regulations .
4.1.2 Operating mode "USB storage
medium" or "Memory card"
The player can be used to reproduce MP3
files from memory cards (SD / SDHC / SDXC)
and USB storage media (USB hard disk with
separate power supply or USB flash drive) . It
also supports reproduction of WMA files, WAV
files and FLAC files .
Connecting storage media:
– Connect a USB storage medium to the
USB port (6) .
– Insert a memory card, notched corner facing
to the right and towards the device, into the
card slot (7) .
Note: Due to the large number of storage device
manufacturers and device drivers, it cannot be guar-
anteed that all storage media are compatible with
the audio player .
If the operating mode "USB storage medium"
or "Memory card" is activated after switching
on and the corresponding storage medium
has already been connected, reproduction of
the medium will start automatically after it has
been read in . If, however, the corresponding
medium is missing,

As soon as a medium is connected, this medium
is selected for reproduction: If, for example, a
USB flash drive is connected in the mode "Mem-
ory card", the audio player will automatically
switch to the mode "USB storage medium" . If
two media have been connected, use the but-
ton MODE to switch over between the media .

table (fig . 4) . Information on the display indica-
tions can be found in the overview on page 3 .
4.1.3 Operating mode "Bluetooth"
In "Bluetooth" mode, audio data can be trans-
mitted wirelessly from an audio source using
Bluetooth transmission (e . g . smartphone) to
the audio player .
Establishing a Bluetooth connection:
1) Use the button MODE to select the oper-
ating mode "Bluetooth" (
