2.1

Intended use

The device has been developed for use with a battery system. The device converts the DC voltage provided by the bat-
tery into AC voltage, so that it can be fed into the grid or the battery can be charged. The device is built using state-of-
the-art technology and in accordance with the recognised safety rules.
The device is intended for indoor and outdoor applications and may only be used in countries for which it has been ap-
proved or for which it has been released by KACO new energy and the grid operator.
Nevertheless, improper use may cause lethal hazards for the operator or third parties, or may result in damage to the
device and other property. This relates to the following operation and connection:
ž Operate the device only with a permanent connection to the public power grid.
ž
The requirements of the grid operator must be met for grid connection to take place. The permission of the relev-
ant authorities may also be required in order to secure authorisation to connection to the grid.
ž The enclosed documentation is an integral part of the product. The documentation must be read, observed and
stored in a place which is freely accessible at all times.
ž Operation in accordance with the appended EU Declaration of Conformity envisages up to 2 bidirectional feed-in
inverters per battery.
ž
Approval from KACO new energy is required for a parallel DC circuit with more than 2 bidirectional feed-in invert-
ers.
Any other or additional use is not considered proper or intended use and can lead to an annulment of the product
guarantee. This includes:
ž Mobile use
ž
Use in rooms where there is a risk of explosion
ž Use of the device in direct sunlight, rain or a storm or other harsh environmental conditions
ž Use in an outdoor area that does not meet the environmental conditions set down in the Environmental data
ž
Operation of devices with an inconsistent performance in DC parallel operation
ž Operation of devices with an inconsistent firmware version in DC parallel operation
ž Operation outside the specifications intended by the manufacturer
ž
Overvoltage of over 1,500V on the DC connection
ž Modifying the device
ž Off-grid operation
2.2 Improper use of the product
Any other or additional use is not considered proper or intended use and can lead to an annulment of the product
guarantee. This includes:
ž Mobile use
ž Use in rooms where there is a risk of explosion
