Q 0 Cassette recorder/HiFi
If you would like to record TV sound
onto a tape or a cassette connect the
recorder to the two sockets (28) on
the back of the set.
If you would like to reproduce the TV
sound via your HiFi you connect to
sockets (28). If you want to switch off
the TV loudspeakers press button eq.
When watching two sound pro-
grammes you can reproduce or
record sound 1, sound 2 or both at

You can check with your headphones

Additional Loudspeaker/Pedestal
By using the NORDMENDE
"Prestige
Sound Podest" you not only get a
pedestal which goes together opti-
mally in appearance with your TV set
you also get an audible improvement
of the very good sound of your set
through the built-in 20cm bass loud-
speaker. The loudspeaker sockets
(27) on the rear of the set are spe-
cially intended for this pedestal loud-
speaker and don't switch off the built-
in TV loudspeakers.
Should you want to connect other
additional loudspeakers to the sockets
(27) they must have a minimum impe-
dance of 8Q.
() Headphone socket
The headphone socket (19) is under
the flap on the left side of the set.
You can plug in headphones with a
6,3mm plug into the headphone sock-
et (19) (min. impedance 200 Q). To
adjust the volume of the headphones
press button eq first then adjust to the
desired volume using the volume but-
tons 0
«+» or «—». This value will
also appear on the display (pict. 14).
If you want to be able to hear the
sound from the TV loudspeakers too,
button «J has to be pressed again.
Connecting up a videorecorder
a) Connecting up via antenna
socket
You can connect your video recorder
to the TV antenna socket. To play-
back, store the channel number of the
video recorder on program 10, 20 or
30. Store as described in paragraphs
"Station search" or "Direct channel
"selection". The program places men-
tioned are specially intended for
video. You can find the channel num-
ber in your video operating instruc-
tions (usually channel 36).
You might need to use fine tuning to
adjust the TV to the recorder. Please
note that if you connect up in this way
a stereo recorder will only reproduce
mono.
b) Connecting up via the Euro AV
socket
For optimal reproduction and for ste-
reo reproduction you can connect
your videorecorder to the Euro AV
socket (30) on the rear of the set.
You'll be able to obtain a suitable
connecting cable from your dealer. If
you connect up in this way you
needn't do anything else to the TV
set. The TV will now switch automatic-
ally from stand-by or from the pro-
gramme you're watching to video
playback as soon as you switch the
videorecorder to play. AU 1 will
appear on the display.
(2 Euro AV socket
The Euro AV socket (30) is a universal
connection for TV accessories. It ena-
bles you to connect either directly or
with an adapter a videorecorder, a
home computer, Viewdata or other
future sets.
When a set is connected to this sock-
et, the TV automatically switches over
to the set. If the set you connected
has no switching voltage you can
switch the TV to video by pressing
button «AV» (AU 1 on the display). If
necessary you can then switch to
RGB mode using button «C» (Display:
A=
1) and back again to video mode.
