The
machine should be connected only
lo
a
power
supply
of
the
same voltage

the
nameplate, and can only
be
operated on single-phase
AC
supply.
They are double-insulated in
accordance

European Standard and can, therefore, also
be
used from
sockets without earth
wire.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY
RULES
Always be sure that
the
mach¡ne
is
switched
oft
and
unplugged before carrying
out
any
work on the
machine.
Keep
guards
in
place.
Use
only wheels
hav¡ng
a
maximum
operating
speed
at
least
as high
as
"No
Load
RPM"
marked
on the machine's
nameplate.
When
using
depressed
center
wheels,
be
sure
to
use
only fiberglass-reinforced
wheels.
Check
the
wheel carefully
for
cracks or
damr
age before
operation. Replace cracked
or
damaged
wheel
immediately.
Use
only flanges
specif¡ed
for this
mach¡ne.
Do
not damage the spindle, the flange
(espe-
c¡ally
the
¡nstalling
surface)
or the
lock
nut.
Damage
to
these parts
could result
¡n wheel
breakage.

Keep
hands
away
from rotating
parts.

Make
sure the
wheel
¡s not
contact¡ng
the
workpiece before the sw¡tch
¡s
turned
on.

Before
using
the machine
on
an actual
work-
piece,
let
it
run
for
a
while.
Watch
for vibration
or wobbl¡ng
that could
ind¡cate poor installa-
tion or a
poorly
balanced
wheel.

perform the grinding.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
lnstalling wheel guard (Fig.
1)
lmoortant:
Always be sure that the machine is switched olf
and
unplugged
before
installing
or
removing
the
wheel
guaro.
When installing
a
depressed center wheel
or
an
abrasive cut-off
wheel, always use
a
wheel
guard.
Mount
the wheel guard with the tab on the
wheel
guard band aligned with the notch on the bearing
box.
Then
rotate
the
wheel
guard
160 degrees
counter-
clockwise.
Be
sure to tighten lhe screw
securely.

lmporlant:
Always be sure that the machine
is
switched
off and
unplugged before
installing or
remov¡ng the side grip.
Always install the side
gr¡p
on the machine
securely
before operation. The side grip can be installed in
any
of
three
positions
on the
sides
of
the
machine,
whichever
is
convenienl
and keeps the guard properly
positioned.
Always hold
the
machine's switch
handle
and
the
side grip firmly with both
hands
during
ooeration.
