ADJUSTMENT
Manual adjustment : System (A-E5 + X-E5)

STEPS OF PROCEDURE
A REEL LED
Turn the power OFF.
Short circuit TP4
—P- TP5 with diode, and then turn the power ON.
Enter TCC-130 in DECK A and PLAY.
DECK A Lch level adjustment.
Same as in the case of P.B

Adjust the output level to -1dBs by
250nwb/m
{SKIP UP/DOWN] key.
160nwb/m
*When using 160nwb/m or 250nwb/m tape, adjust to -4dB and OdB respectively.
Push the [DOLBY NR] key.
Adjust the DECK A Rch level.
Push the [DOLBY NR] key.
Enter TCC-130 in DECK B, and PLAY.
Adjust the DECK B Lch level.
Push the [DOLBY NR] key.
Adjust the DECK B Rch level.
As the PLAY/REC select IC is on the PLAY side even during recording in the manual adjustment mode, the playback or recording monitor
is Output from the deck.
Due to this, connect W85 and W686 of the AG output and input the recording.
-REC adjustment-
Push the [DOLBY NR] key.
Lch REC level adjustment.
Load the tape to be recorded in the DECK B (TCC-106A).
Connect AG (1kHz) with W85.
Push the [REC] key to start the recording, and adjust AG for the output to become -10dBs.
Play the recorded tape back, and make sure that the 1kHz output is -10dBs.

Adjust the output to -10dBs by means of the [UP/DOWN] key.
(Each stop corresponds to a change of approximately 0.2dBs.)
Push the [DOLBY NR] key.

Rch REC level adjustment.
Connect AG (1kHz) with W886.
Push the [REC] key, and adjust AG to obtain -10dBs.
Play the recorded tape back, verify whether the output is -10dBs, and make the required adjustments.
Push the [DOLBY NR] key.
Lch BIAS adjustment.
Connect AG (-20dBs) with W85 and record 1kHz/10kHz alternately.
Make the required adjustment with the [SKIP UP/DOWN] key for the playback outputs of 1kHz/10kHz to
become the same.
Push the [DOLBY NRI key.
Rch recording BIAS adjustment.
Connect AG with W86, record 1kHz/10kHz alternately, and carry out the required adjustment with the
[SKIP UP/DOWN] key for the playback outputs to become the same.
Push the [HIGH DUBB] key. (Send data to the E2PROM).
*Reset the adjustment mode by turning the power OFF or push [CCRS/CRLS] key.
*If the [CCRS/CRLS] key is pressed, TEST 1 is selected.
