Convenient music search (DPSS) The DPSS (Direct Program Search System) enables the following convenient operations according to the instructions of the operation keys (these operation are however not available on both decks simultaneously). Symptom Recording is not initiated when the REC/ ARM (¶) key is pressed. Noise level is high. Sound is vibrating. Playback or recording starts immediately when the power is switched ON. With some tapes, a squeaky noise is produced when the tape is stopped automatically. This is due to the tape protection function, and not Note Note a malfunction.
