    2. Requirements The Industrial Managed PoE Media Converter provides a remote web interface for management purposes. To further manage the device, you will need the following products. z Workstations running Windows 7/8/10/11, mac OS 10.12 or later, Linux Kernel 2.6.18 or later, or other modern operating systems are compatible with TCP/IP Protocols.

    1. The wire gauge for the terminal block should be in the range from 12 to 24 AWG. 2. Please check the wire AWG Ampere specification before connecting PLANET Industrial Managed PoE Media Converter. PWR1 and PWR2 must provide the same DC voltage while operating with dual power input.

    4.1 Logging in to the Industrial Managed PoE Media Converter 1. Use a modern Web browser to enter the default IP address https://192.168.0.100 to access the Web interface. 2. To access the main screen of IXT-900 PoE series, enter the default user- name “admin” and password “admin” (or the password you previously changed) when the login screen appears. Then, click “Login”.
  • Page 9 The menu at the top of the web page provides access to all the commands and statistics offered by the Industrial Managed PoE Media Converter. Each menu contains sub-menu items, as shown in Figures 4-3 & 4-4 below.     4.2 Saving Configuration via Web Interface Save all applied changes and set the current configuration as the startup configuration after finishing the configuration. The system will automatically load the startup-configuration file upon reboot. 1. Click the Save icon on the top Menu bar. Press the “Apply” button to save the configuration. Figure 4-5: Click the “Save Configuration” icon 2. Another way to save the settings is to click Maintenance and then select Save Configuration.

    5. SSH Login The Industrial Managed PoE Media Converter also supports SSHv2 for secure remote management. The converter asks for user name and password for remote login when using SSH application program such as Putty or TeraTerm; please use “admin” for both username and password.     The user can now enter commands to manage the Industrial Managed PoE Media Converter. For a detailed description of the commands, please refer to the following chapters. 1. For security reason, please change and memorize the new password after this first setup. 2. Only accept command in lowercase letter under the console interface.

     Configuration of the IP Address 3. At the “#” prompt, enter the following command and press <Enter> as shown in Figure 5-3. Repeat step 1 to check if the IP address has changed. 5.2 Saving the Current Configuration At the “#” prompt, enter the following command and press <Enter>.

Restoring Default Configuration If the IP address is changed or the admin password is forgotten – To reset the IP address to the default IP Address “192.168.0.100” or to reset the login password to default value, press the hardware-based reset button on the front panel for about 10 seconds. After the device reboots, you can log in to the management web interface within the same 192.168.0.xx subnet.
