How To....

Replace the Pedal Lever Assembly

Tools Required: Phillips Screwdriver, 17mm Socket Wrench
Estimated Repair Time: 30 minutes
1. Turn the cross trainer power switch OFF.
2. Unplug the line cord from the wall outlet.
3. Remove the moving arm pivot (clevis ) cover from the user arm (see How to Replace the Moving Arm Pivot (Clevis)
Covers on page 28).
4. Remove the outside actuator shroud (see How to Replace the Actuator Shroud on page 34).
5. Remove the corresponding telescoping shrouds (see How to Replace the Telescoping Shrouds on page 34).
6. Remove and save the nut and bolt that secure the pedal lever assembly to the actuator bracket.
7. Remove and save the nut and bolt that secure the pedal lever assembly to the rocker arm.
8. If required, transfer the pedal from the old pedal lever assembly to the new one. First, remove the pedal insert from
the pedal (velcro strips are used to attach). Remove the six screws that secure the pedal to the pedal lever.
9. Install the new pedal lever assembly in reverse order using the hardware removed and saved in the previous steps.
