Use the cover latch handle to open the printer cover.

The input hopper lock unlocks the input hopper.
Unfinished cards or cards not processed properly are placed in the
reject tray. An administrator can change the reject card location to
the output hopper using the Printer Dashboard. Refer to the Printer
Dashboard Help for more information.
The printer lock unlocks the printer cover and reject tray.
Open the printer cover to access the printhead and ribbon.
Lift the latch handle to open the printer cover.
Press down on the ridges when closing the cover to make sure that it
latches completely on both sides.
