Recording
a still image
on a tape

recording
You can record a stillinrage
like a photograph.
This mode is useful when you want to
record an image such a s a pho tograp h or when you p tint a picture using a video printer
(optional).
You can record a bout 510 images in the SP mode and about 765 images in the LP mode
on a tape which can record for 60 minutes in the SP mode.
(1) In the standby
mode, keep pressingPHOTO
lightlyuntil
a stillimage
appears.
The CAPTURE
indicator
appears.
Recording
does not start yet.
To change the still image, release PHOTO,
select a s till image again, and then
press
and hold PHOTO
lightly.
(2) Press PHOTO
deeper.
The stillimage
on the screen is recorded
for a bout se yen second s. The sound
during
those seven seconds
is also recorded.
The stillimage
is displayed
on the screen untilrecordingis
completed.

Notes
• During
the tape pho to recording,
you cannot
change
the mode
or s_,tting.
• The PHOTObutton
does
not work:
while
the digital
effect
function
is set or in use.

the fader
functionis
in use.
• When
recording
a stillimage,
do not shake
your
camcorder.
Mosaic-pat
t_+rn noise
may
appear
on the imag¢_.
To use the tape photo recording function
using the Remote Commander
Press PHOTO on the Remote Commander.
Your camcordc+r records animage
on the
screenimmediately.
When you use the tape photo
recording
function during
normal
CAMERA
recording
You cannot check an image on the screen by pressing
PHOTO lightly. Press PHOTO
deeper. The stillimage
is then recorded
for about 7seconds, and your camcorder
returns to the standby mode. During the 7seconds to record, you cannot shoot another
still image.
