Dinner Rolls
ingredients:
3 isp
Surebake yeast
450 g
white flour
11/2 tsp
sugar
1 tsp
salt
3 Tbsp
milk powder
4 Tbsp
butter
250 mi
water
1
egg, beaten
poppy or sesame seeds
Method:
Make dough according to instructions on
P.9—-10 and 13.
P Divide the dough
into 12—16 equal
portions. Roll each
portion into a ball.
Place on a greased
tray and leave to
rest for 20 minutes.
Roll one end of
the bail on a
lightly floured surface
to make a cone.
4 Roll each cone
into a wedge
shape, approximately
1/aem thick, using a
rolling pin.

Thsp=tablespoon
5 Starting with the
wide end, roll up
the wedge loosely
towards the narrower
end.
Place seam side
down ona
greased oven tray.
Prove at 30-35°C
for 30—50 minutes
or until doubled in
size. If an oven for
proving is not availa-
ble, cover with plastic
wrap and leave to
rise in a warm place
of approximately this
temperature.
8 Brush rolls with
beaten egg and
sprinkle with poppy
or sesame seeds if
desired.
Bake ina
9 preheated 175°C
oven for 10-15
minutes or until
golden brown.
