The installation process is easier with two or more people, one to hold the top in place, while another marks the
mounting locations of the universal deck hinge(s) and the fixed deck hinge(s) to be attached to the fiberglass of the boat.
TIP:

Minimum Tools Needed:

• Drill with 9/64" Drill Bit
• Phillips-Head Screwdriver
• Flat-Head Screwdriver

• Pencil
Partially deflate inflatable tubes before beginning installation of the mounting hardware. This will provide access to install the

deck hinges (see Image 1).

2. Installing Deck Hinges for Main Bow (A-Bow):

The universal deck hinge(s) should be installed and centered just outside of the upright railing (see Image 2). Measure the
marked position of the universal deck hinge(s) carefully to make sure they are exactly opposite each other. If not aligned
properly, the top may become warped or damaged and unstable while in use or look unbalanced.
2a. Use a drill with a 9/64" bit to drill the pilot holes for the universal deck hinge(s). Hollow out the pilot hole to avoid cracking the
fiberglass when installing the screws. Secure the universal deck hinge(s) with the 1", No. 10 sheet metal screws provided (see
Image 2).

Installing Deck Hinges For Rear Brace Kit:

Using the 9/64" drill bit, drill pilot holes for the 90° (fixed) deck hinges as shown (see image 3). at the recommended locations
behind the rear seats (approximately 1" from back edge at a slight angle and ½" from side edge). The back corner should be
flush with edge. Secure the 90° (fixed) deck hinges with the 1", No. 10 sheet metal screws provided.
