Change air oil separator
The air oil separator cleans the process gas flowing through the pump. It
mainly separates the oil that the process gas has absorbed in the
compressor chamber as oil mist. With increasing operating time, the air
de-oiling element becomes saturated with oil, the filter resistance
increases and pump failures can be the result.
The air oil separator must be replaced at intervals depending on the
pump type (see table 8.3).
1.
Ensure that all prerequisites for maintenance operation have
been met.
2.
Loosen the 4 screws and remove the maintenance cover
3.
Turn the air separator element by 90° to release the lock
4.
Remove / replace air oil separator
5.
Install the air oil separator in reverse order.
6.
Properly dispose of the air oil separator in accordance with the
national regulations for the disposal of hazardous materials.
Clean suction strainer
To prevent larger foreign bodies from getting inside the pump, a suction
strainer is installed in the connection flange.
The sieve must be cleaned at the specified interval (see table).
1.
Ensure that all prerequisites for maintenance operation have
been met.
2.
Loosen the 4 screws on the connection flange and remove the
flange (1).
3.
Clean flange with suction strainer from inside to outside with
compressed air (2)
4.
Refit the intake flange
Change gas ballast valve filter
The gas ballast valve filter must be changed according to the interval,
otherwise the water vapour capacity of the pump is reduced and proper
operation is no longer guaranteed.
