To Watch TV

Turn your VCR off, or press the VCR's TV/VTR button
until the VTR indicator in the display window goes off.
Set the A/B switch to "B".
3 Switch on your cable box.
4 Tune the TV to the cable box output channel (usually
2, 3, or 4).
Select the channel you want to watch with your cable
box.
After watching the TV, please remember to return the
A/B switch and cable box channel to the correct
position.
To Watch the VCR

Tune the TV to Ch 3 or 4, (or to A/V input if you made
A/V connections).
Insert a cassette and press [> PLAY.

To Record a Program Using the Timer

Unscrambied Channels
Insert a cassette.
Switch the A/B switch to "A".
Open the cover of the Remote Commander.
Press DAY, TURN ON , TURN OFF and CH to set
date, start time, end time and channel number.
Transmit your programmed timer data with TRANS.
Leave the A/B switch in "A".
Scrambled Channels
Insert a cassette.
Switch the A/B switch to "B".
Switch on your cable box.
Select the channel you want to record on the cable
box.
Open the cover of the Remote Commander.
Press DAY, TURN ON, TURN OFF and CH to set
date, start time, end time and channel number. The
channel number must be the same as the cable box
output channel.
Transmit your programmed timer data with TRANS.
Leave the A/B switch in "B".
